FAQ

No, 3D is not AI.

3D art is created with human-crafted models (characters, props, and environments) that have detailed geometry, textures, and lighting. AI art uses algorithms to generate images from text prompts. 3D software enables artists to create characters, props, and environments on a base mesh made up of polygons. It is basically human creativity, intention, and skill versus prompt engineered algorithms.

I believe in being transparent. I will always state if AI was used as a tool in the creation of my image. If a post contains AI, I will tag it with “AI Elements.” The main characters on this site are either 3D created characters or photographs of real people and pets.

It depends. Sometimes I use 3D clothing and props with photographs of people’s pets. And sometimes I use AI clothing with people’s pets for Pet Portraits. I always ask if a client would prefer not to have AI used. The choice is up to the client.
